Lawn Fertilizer Options
One Time Application:
The 4 Seasons Yard Maintenance Team will apply 1 application of granular fertilizer on your lawn. For optimal results, pair this one time application with a spring clean up package (GOLD or SILVER) that includes both aeration and power raking. Aeration will promote more effective fertilizer uptake by increasing irrigation, while power raking reduces thatch.
Reducing thatch will ensure that the fertilizer does not become caught up in the grass and leaves so it can properly enter the soil. A single fertilizer application will not provide all of the nutrients that your lawn will require for the entire year, but it will "spring it" into action!
4 Time Application Program:
For property owners who want their lawn to look pristine, this 4 time application program was designed for you. For a greener, healthier looking lawn, we suggest that you fertilize 4-5 times a year. Since Alberta has primarily cool, dry seasons, 4 Seasons Yard Maintenance will fertilize your lawn using a proper technique best suited for our Alberta climate. The first 2 applications will take place in May and June. These initial applications are designed to stimulate and intensify growth while reducing weeds. The remaining 2 applications that will take place in September and October. These applications typically have a higher nitrogen content as to stimulate growth while the grass is no longer experiencing the drought of the hot summer as well as weed and pest control.
